Solar Plexus Chakra

The Solar Plexus Chakra is identified as the third chakra in the body's energy system. This powerful center is known as the Manipura or the “City of Gems”.   Located above the navel and below the sternum, it is symbolized as a vibrant yellow swirling disc of energy. 

This energy center governs your personal power, willpower, confidence, and self-esteem.  When the Solar Plexus Chakra is balanced, you feel connected to your inner strength and purpose, enabling you to make decisions with clarity and assertiveness. However, if this chakra is imbalanced or blocked, it can lead to issues such as low self-esteem, lack of confidence, and difficulty in making decisions.

Body Parts Connected to the Solar Plexus Chakra 

The Solar Plexus Chakra is closely linked to several body parts and systems. It primarily influences the area around the upper abdomen and encompasses the following:

  • Digestive System: stomach, liver, gallbladder, pancreas, and other digestive organs.  It plays a role in the proper digestion and assimilation of food and nutrients.

  • Muscles:  abdominal region, including the diaphragm.  Balanced energy in this chakra supports healthy muscle function and flexibility.
